Willie Revillame starts shoot of Mr. Housewife for OctoArts today.
But instead of Kristine Hermosa as his lead actress, Roxanne Guinoo has been selected to do the role. It seems the producers tried to avoid a Vic Sotto comparison As Kristine has been her leading lady in the Enteng Kabisote series.
Directed by Randy Santiago, Willie does the role of a househusband when his wife turns OFW.
Mr. Housewife was originally intended as a Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo starrer based on the screenplay of Mel Del Rosario for last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. But they did Sakal, Sakali Saklolo movie for Star Cinema, the project was shelved.
The original script had been enhanced to suit Willie’s image and comedy style. According to Willie, Mr. Housewife is not aimed for the 2008 MMFF. It’s most likely to screen before this annual event.
