Angel Locsin first graced the cover of meg as an up and coming actress, as a breakout star in a youth-oriented show then a fantasy TV series. Over the years, Angel has gained the adoration of audiences in the powerful and empowered female roles she played in several primetime TV series— such as, the Filipina version of Wonder Woman, in Darna, and the Filipina version of Lara Croft, in Asian Treasures.
She has also since become a coveted cover girl in glossies and one of the top commercial endorser of major brands – Jag, Avon, McDonald’s, Smart, Centrum to name a few – projects that have kept her extremely busy and working hard, but all of which she considers as blessings.
Four years since her successful break into the entertainment industry, Angel has had her share of intrigues along the way—like her recent transfer to a new station. She endures and chalks it all up to the experience of growing up, “I’m young. I learn,” she tells us philosophically.
On her second meg cover shoot, Angel arrived still looking the same way Meg had her in 2004— still fresh and mild-mannered. What’s new with her? This recently-turned 23-year old has garnered another notch on her acting belt with her most challenging role yet, in the latest action-drama Lobo, as a young woman who turns into a wolf.
